As we look at the Chicago Cubs' 2012 record, it may be hard to imagine many bright spots for a team approximately 30 games out of first place. However, as I look back on the season, I realize that 2012 was the beginning of a long-term team-building process. I see some bright spots for the Cubs' future, culminating in these top five.
